Seth Rollins has been one of WWE’s top stars for over a decade, but even the best have to think about the future. In an interview with WFAN, Rollins, who will turn 39 in May, discussed the potential timeline for his retirement from in-ring competition.

Reflecting on the longevity of wrestler's careers compared to other sports, Rollins noted that the storytelling aspect allows wrestlers to extend their time in the ring. He noted fans are more likely to forgive physical limitations compared to in other sports.

When asked about his own retirement plans, he mentioned that age 45 "sounds all right," but emphasized that his decision will depend on developments in the coming years, both within and outside WWE. He stated, "It's kind of going to depend on what I do in the next few years as far as outside of WWE or behind the scenes in WWE."

Regarding his post-retirement aspirations, Rollins expressed interest in contributing behind the scenes rather than transitioning to a commentary role. He said, "I think I'm more behind-the-scenes guy when it's time for me to finish up. I'd like to be on the other side of it... let me help the young guys and girls."

Rollins has gotten some acting roles, recently shooting scenes for Captain America: Brave New World, but his storyline ultimately got cut in the final edit.

Currently, Rollins feels physically and mentally prepared to continue his wrestling career, stating, "I feel very good." As he approaches 39, fans can anticipate several more years of his "visonary" performances before he transitions to a backstage role.
