The long-standing relationship between rock and wrestling has a new anthem. Pop-punk band Forever Came Calling has just dropped their new song and music video, "And Still the Mick Foley of Pop Punk," and it's already earned the official stamp of approval from the Hardcore Legend himself.

Forever Came Calling describes itself as a band that has embodied the underdog spirit since they first burst onto the scene. Hailing from Twentynine Palms, California, they famously hustled their way into the public eye during the Vans Warped Tour, selling CDs in the parking lot as documented in the film No Room for Rockstars. The new track is a continuation of their pop-punk sound, with lyrics that directly address the theme of resilience.

The song, as the band explained, is about "getting your ass kicked, feeling beat down, but never staying down for the three count." It’s about being the Mick Foley of your scene—maybe not the biggest or the flashiest, but the one with the most heart and the will to keep fighting.

The music video brings this theme to life in the most authentic way possible. It’s not just a nod to wrestling; it’s a full-blown immersion. The band didn't just find a random ring to shoot in. They went to Las Vegas during the massive Wrestlemania weekend and filmed the hardcore action at a live Circle 6 show, held at the Punk Rock Museum.

The ultimate co-sign came this past weekend when Mick Foley himself took to Instagram to praise the track. "ROCK & WRESTLING! It’s still a marriage made in entertainment heaven as displayed in this song ‘Still The Mick Foley of Pop Punk’ by @forever.came.calling!" Foley wrote. He even gave a shout-out to the band's guitarist, Steve, who runs the popular wrestling meme account @wrestling.sucks. To top it all off, Foley confirmed his own appearance, telling fans to "Be on the lookout for a Cameo from a certain #HardcoreLegend."

Fans going to the Long Beach Warped Tour on July 26-27th will be able to catch the band playing live at the festival!

It’s a perfect storm of punk rock passion and hardcore wrestling spirit. Forever Came Calling didn't just write a song about being a fighter; they went to the heart of the fight itself and brought back a killer video, earning the respect of a true legend in the process. Have a nice day!
