WWE has announced that Kamala, Dory Funk Sr., and Ivan Koloff will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025 as Legacy inductees.

The Legacy wing of the WWE Hall of Fame, introduced in 2016, honors wrestlers from earlier eras who made significant contributions to the industry. Unlike regular inductees, Legacy inductees are typically recognized posthumously, with their legacies celebrated through video packages during the ceremony.

Kamala, known as "The Ugandan Giant," was one of WWE's most memorable characters. With his intimidating war paint and unpredictable in-ring style, Kamala faced off against legends like Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker. Over time, he endeared himself to fans, revealing the gentle nature of James Harris, the man behind the mask.

Dory Funk Sr. was a skilled amateur wrestler and World War II veteran who became a pivotal figure in wrestling history as both a performer and promoter. Through his Western States Sports organization in Amarillo, Texas, Funk Sr. mentored and promoted some of the industry's toughest talents, including Bruiser Brody, Harley Race, and his sons, Dory Jr. and Terry Funk—all of whom he now joins in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Ivan Koloff, dubbed "The Russian Bear," was one of WWE's most unforgettable villains. He made headlines worldwide when he defeated Bruno Sammartino on January 18, 1971, at Madison Square Garden, ending Sammartino's legendary seven-year WWE Title reign—a moment etched in wrestling history.

The nominees for the 2025 class are Triple H, Lex Luger, Michelle McCool, and the Natural Disasters. The Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin match from WrestleMania 31 is the first match that will be inducted.

The WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas in Winchester, Nevada. The event will air immediately following WWE's Friday Night SmackDown. Fans can watch the ceremony live on Peacock in the United States and on Netflix in most international markets.
