Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg has provided an encouraging update on his health, indicating he's on the verge of being cleared for competition. The 58-year-old WWE Hall of Famer recently underwent stem cell treatment and expects to receive medical clearance shortly.

Goldberg has been candid about his desire to have a proper retirement match. In a recent interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, he stated, "I got stem cells five weeks and six days ago, and I’m cleared physically in a very short period of time."

Reflecting on his preparation, Goldberg acknowledged the challenges posed by his treatment but remains optimistic about his return to training. He mentioned, "I haven’t been able to do much at all preparation-wise. But I think that the positives of the stem cell treatment were such a positive that it was worth me staying out of the gym for the longest period of time I ever have in my entire life."

Looking ahead, Goldberg is eager to resume in-ring activities, stating, "I’m going to jump in the ring and start sparring seven to eight days from now. I got to be smart about it. But yeah, 2025, it’s going to happen."

The prospect of Goldberg facing current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther has generated buzz among fans. The two had a memorable exchange at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta last October, where Gunther referred to Goldberg as a "one-trick pony."

Addressing the potential matchup, Goldberg commented, "If it was Gunther and I that would be logical. There’s some heat there, obviously, that’s already been placed. And he’s the new generation. I’m the old generation. It’s kind of like a passing of the torch in a way."

As for when the match would happen, while we have no confirmation, it's safe to assume the match would be saved for a big event like Summer Slam.
