Becky Lynch Tells Crowd She’s “Not Wrestling Anymore” During Improv Show Appearance
Becky Lynch's recent improv appearance gave fans an unexpected update, as the WWE star playfully addressed her current status away from the ring in front of a live audience.
Lynch was performing at the Dynasty Typewriter in Los Angeles, California, as part of The Ultimate Improv Show. She shared the stage with a talented lineup including Dan Black, Bobby Moynihan, Paul Scheer, Neil Casey, Brandon Scott Jones, Lisa Gilroy, and musical act Bunny Lowe. During her monologue, Lynch delivered a line that immediately caught the attention of fans in the building and online.
“It’s WrestleMania season, isn’t it? Look, I’m not wrestling anymore,” she said, prompting an audible reaction from the crowd. “Maybe one day, but not right now. But my husband is!”
The moment was captured on video and quickly circulated across social media, adding a bit of clarity to her absence from WWE programming. Lynch has not appeared on WWE television since the May 27, 2024 episode of Raw, where she lost to Liv Morgan. While there’s no confirmed timetable for her return, Lynch has been keeping busy outside the squared circle.
Beyond raising her child with Seth Rollins, Lynch has been expanding her acting portfolio. She has roles lined up in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, and the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2, the sequel to the beloved Adam Sandler comedy. Her first major acting role came with a memorable appearance in the action-comedy film Rumble, and she also made a guest appearance on the popular series Billions, giving her early exposure to television audiences beyond the wrestling ring. It’s clear Lynch is carving out a serious space for herself in Hollywood while taking time away from in-ring action.
Whether Lynch's comment about stepping away from wrestling was simply in the spirit of improv or a genuine status update, fans will no doubt be keeping a close eye on her next moves—both on screen and, hopefully, one day, back inside the ropes.
